KidFest 2016

KidFest was a success this year. Many families had the pleasure in stopping by at The Avondale Public Library booth for literature on the library programs and to win some nice giveaways with the Prize Wheel that was displayed on the table. Along with the prizes were storybook readings by the lovely princesses that were present throughout the event. Different princess characters; such as, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White were some of our reading presenters; along with Mayor Kenn Weise and Vice Mayor, Stephanie Karlin. We thank all the support that help make this event a wonderful success and to our volunteers from Estrella Mountain Community College.

KidFest is an Annual event that promotes LITERACY AND FUN in the Community. This year was a special year because the event took place at Friendship Park, where the community had the honor to witness the ribbon cutting for the opening of the new playground. Friendship Park is still under construction and plan to expand this summer 2016.
